Natural Floors Accent A Vibrant Home

Kitty

Allow me to introduce you to, Taittinger.  She was so kind, along her sibling Piper, and her human family to let me photograph her vibrant home in Metro Atlanta.  I never saw Piper during my visit who I can only assume was napping in a sunny spot.  Homeowners, Tia and Chuck, came to Top Floors Carpet One with a vision of how they wanted their home to look and feel.  As an artist herself, Tia, has impeccable taste with an eye for style and anyone who has the pleasure of visiting their home will agree.

Having lived in Florida, where tile throughout a home is common, Tia and Chuck selected a natural stone look porcelain tile for their main level.  DSC_0573

In the living room, a similar style rug was chosen as to not take away from the beauty and natural flowing feel of the tile floors.  Tia says that often she sees a striation in the tile that seemingly continues onto the rug and vice versa.

Eurasia is the name of this glazed porcelain by Emser Tile.  The warm and cool tones as well as the versatility of the tile takes you from the living room, through the dining room, into the kitchen and right outside to the side patio.

A bold patterned stair runner leads you upstairs to the bedrooms and office.  Gander is the name of this Kane Carpet which was manufactured in Belgium and took a slow boat to get to the states but it was worth the wait once it arrived.

Tia and Chuck opted for a natural cork floor by US Floors in color Salon Dulsa for their second level.  This product is natural, contemporary, and just plain cool.

Thank you for exploring this gorgeously styled home, but it seems that Taittinger is ready for her nap.

Stunning Acacia Hardwoods

The Acacia tree is considered the “Tree of Life” in Egyptian mythology.  It is not hard to imagine that these hardwood floors have breathed new life into this home.  The richness of this species of wood that these homeowners chose accents their ornate furniture.  Acacia hardwoods alone makes a gorgeous floor, but take a look for yourself inside this luxurious home.

Suwanee Event Space Refresh

Suwanee Station

Suwanee Station Clubhouse is a beautiful local event space.  This unique building is used for wedding receptions, birthday parties, sports tournaments, and private events.   After fifteen years, it was due for a refresh.  The carpet was dated and the hardwoods were worn from the many years of celebrations from guests coming together.

Take a look inside this spacious venue with their updated floors.

When you walk in the front doors, the entry is bright and inviting.  The classic oak hardwoods were refinished to their glory days.  They welcome you into this unique space.

In the fitness room this floor is worth an extra look.  This an American made Cork and Rubber composite floor.  It is made from recycled materials and the color is customizable!  You can even have your company logo inserted into the design.  Cork and Rubber both absorb impact and are an ideal choice for a fitness room.

This floor is meant to be put to the test.  You can almost feel the burn!

NOUVEAU NARRATIVE

SW Nouveau Narrative

Made in the USA is hip and here to stay.  Urban and rustic towns are seeing an industrial revival in the form of small batches.  Flip the switches to “On” and get the machines warmed up.  This palette yields the determination that this country was built on.  Denim blue, warm woolly browns with brass accents are making their way into homes and workspaces.

Kitchen Update to Sell

Kitchen Update to Sell

When putting a home on the market, renovating is a must.   There is no need to spend a fortune to update the look and feel of your home.  Sheet vinyl is an inexpensive way to take a floor from the 1960’s into the 21st century.

In the before photos you will see that the busy pattern of a floor can really darken a space and make if feel small.

This is not your grandmother’s vinyl.  Budget friendly sheet vinyl has all the texture and visual aspects of a higher priced floor.  Underfoot you can feel the faux grout lines and surface textures which give the illusion of ceramic tile.  The tile pattern and natural variations in color imitate much more expensive products.
